Verify Vehicle and Owner Details via OTP
The system auto-fetches vehicle details from the Vahan database; verify engine/chassis number and confirm your mobile number with the OTP sent.
Choose Dealer/Fitment Centre and Pay Online
Select a nearby authorized fitment centre and preferred appointment slot, then pay the HSRP and colour sticker fee online (varies by vehicle type, roughly Rs. 400-1100).
Visit Fitment Centre for Installation
Bring your vehicle and RC to the fitment centre on your booked slot; the tamper-proof laser-branded plate and high-security sticker are fitted on the spot.
Pro Tips & Warnings
- HSRP is now mandatory in most states even for vehicles bought before 2019 that never had one - fines for non-compliance are being enforced increasingly by traffic police.
- Book well ahead of any deadline announced by your state transport department, since fitment centre slots fill up fast close to enforcement dates.
- Keep the acknowledgement/booking receipt with you until the plate is fitted, as some traffic checks accept it as proof that HSRP is already in process.
