Step-by-Step Process

Log in to the Member Portal
Log in at the UAN Member e-Sewa portal with your UAN and password.

Select 'One Member - One EPF Account'
Under 'Online Services', select the transfer request option and it will show your previous employment's PF account automatically.

Choose Attesting Employer
Choose either your previous or current employer to digitally attest the transfer claim, whichever has an active DSC registered.

Submit with OTP
Verify the transfer request with the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile and submit.

Track Transfer Status
Track the transfer claim status on the portal; funds are usually credited to the current PF account within 10-20 days.
Pro Tips & Warnings
- Always use the same UAN across jobs - never let a new employer create a fresh UAN, as it complicates transfers and service continuity.
- You don't need your old employer's approval if your current employer's DSC is active on the portal - either party can attest.
- Transferring (not withdrawing) preserves your continuous service record, which matters for pension eligibility and tax-free withdrawal after 5 years.
