Required Documents
Step-by-Step Process
Check Eligibility and Subsidy Slab
Confirm you haven't availed a tractor subsidy in the last 7-10 years (scheme cooling period) and check your category's subsidy percentage (higher for SC/ST/women/small farmers) on the state agriculture portal.
Apply Online Through State Portal
Apply through your state's agriculture mechanization portal (linked via agrimachinery.nic.in) or DBT Agriculture portal with land, Aadhaar, and bank details, selecting a tractor model from empanelled manufacturers.
Selection via Lucky Draw/First-Come-First-Served
Many states select beneficiaries through computerized lucky draw or first-come-first-served against the annual target/budget for the district.
Purchase the Tractor and Submit Bills
Purchase the tractor from an authorized dealer after selection, and upload the invoice, chassis/engine number, and dealer's delivery report on the portal.
Physical Verification and Subsidy Release
An agriculture department official physically verifies the tractor at your premises, after which the subsidy amount is credited directly to your bank account via DBT.
Pro Tips & Warnings
- Only tractors within the notified horsepower (HP) range and from manufacturers empanelled with the state are eligible - check the approved list before booking.
- A cooling period of 7-10 years applies between two subsidy claims by the same farmer/family, so verify past scheme usage before applying.
- Subsidy percentage varies by state and category - women, SC/ST, and small/marginal farmers typically get a higher subsidy (up to 50%) than general category farmers (20-25%).
